2015 Annual Report

The Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe’s main focus during 2015 involved dealing with the economic challenges besetting the national economy that include the current deficit, narrow fiscal space and weak consumer and investor sentiment. Important measures that the Bank put in place in 2015 to address some of these fundamental challenges included dealing with distressed banking institutions, as part of the measures to protect the banking community, bolster confidence in the banking system and promote banking sector stability.

2016 Annual Report

In 2016, the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe was seized with putting in place measures to strengthen the banking sector as well as restoring confidence in the economy. In this regard, the Bank implemented policies geared towards increasing domestic output and productivity, necessitating increased export earning capacity for the economy.
