History

The building society was initially incorporated in Zimbabwe in 1992 as Zimbabwe Building Society (“ZBS”).The institution changed its name in June 2005 to FBC Building Society following the acquisition of a 60% stake by FBC Holdings Ltd (“FBC”) and 40% by National Social Security Authority (NSSA) in ZBS.
